The KR 16 EX complies with directive 94/9/EC (ATEX) and can be operated in potentially explosive atmospheres after evaluation of the (gas) explosion risk. The full functionality of a six-axis robot can then be used – be it for painting with water-based paints, for handling hazardous goods, or for applying sealant to vehicle underbodies.
